This new series is focused on the delight I feel when finding beauty amongst the grime, in both the literal and metaphorical sense. For example, when the sparkle of a stone shines up from the mud. When the first little blooms of a lotus appears in the mucky spring water. When a Mudlarker spots a shiny piece of history on the banks of the Thames. When archeologists digs to reveal forgotten treasures. When a human is at their darkest, yet there is life that still fights to peek through.
Similarly, the quote "We are all broken, that is how the light gets in." (A mixture of quotes by L. Cohen and Hemingway) has influenced these pieces.
All these wall hangings are made of materials such as glass, stones, tiles, beads, and broken pottery. The hanging hardware is attached on the back, however, it should be noted that these are heavier than paintings.
Each piece is fairly easy to handle, but I must caution buyers that there may be sharp edges, so one must handle with care. These should be kept away from children.
